About the Minimum Wage
In 2019, the Colorado legislature passed HB19-1210, giving counties and municipalities the ability to establish a local minimum wage in excess of the statewide minimum wage of $13.65 per hour by 2023. In line with this, the Fort Collins City Council made raising the local minimum wage a priority in 2021. As the debate surrounding the proposed local minimum wage continues, the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce has been tracking the impact of minimum wages on local businesses and employees.
