SHOUT OUT!

Mass media tells us every day that we don’t have enough individuals considering the trades or construction as a viable career pathway.  In Northern Colorado we have an amazing team that is doing something about it!  It’s the Northern Colorado Construction Sector Partnership.  The Sector Partnership is exists to improve the overall perception of the industry to students and parents and to demonstrate the impact the industry creates within our communities.  They are actively working to represent, communicate, and raise awareness as well as increase the industry’s involvement with K-12 programs to create a pipeline of accurate information and promote learning opportunities to youth considering construction as a career.

What does that mean?  That means you have local industry leaders that are working to move the dial and to open the door.  The industry leadership team includes Ted Johnson (Partnership Board Chair and President of  ECI Site Construction Management, Inc.), Travis Slisher (Partnership Board Co-Chair and Vice President/COO of Neuworks Mechanical, Inc.),  Greg Farris (Partnership Board Co-Chair and Owner/PM of Front Range Roofing Systems, LLC), Alicia Ready (Partnership Treasurer and Training and Development Director at Elder Construction, Inc.) and Amy Powell (Partnership Secretary and Founder and Coach at Well Works, LLC).  A very special thank you to these individuals and their businesses for leading this important work in Northern Colorado.
