Fort Collins, CO. — Aetna, the Hartford, Conn.-based health care company, will become the title sponsor of the 3rd Annual Healing Warriors Program 5K Fun Run, race organizers have announced. The 5K Fun Run, will begin at 10 am on Sunday May 19th, at Spring Canyon Park, with a focus on Veteran Suicide Prevention during mental health month.

Run, walk, hike, come out and have fun supporting Veteran families and their access to no cost, non-narcotic care. This professionally timed event is in its third year and is perfect for serious runners who may be looking to improve a time, or just have a fun time running, jogging or walking to support our Veteran families and the battle against Veteran Suicides. Everyone is welcome to participate in this family friendly event. Bring the dog, grab the stroller and run for those who need our support. Proceeds benefit The Healing Warriors Program: Suicide Prevention through FREE integrative non-narcotic treatments for PTSD, TBI, Interpersonal Trauma, Sleep Disorders and Chronic Pain. We serve Veterans, from any era and any branch of service. We also serve disabled and homeless veterans, Active-duty troops, reservists, National Guard and the spouses/partners and parents of our service members. The Healing Warriors Program is a registered VA Vendor and GuideStar Charity, established in 2013. We operate through our clinic in Fort Collins and serving Colorado and Wyoming through additional free monthly Pop-Up Clinics in Longmont, Denver, Colorado Springs and Buckley AFB for our active duty personnel, and have provided over 35,000 treatments.
