The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce presented the second annual State of Business event on June 29 at The Biergarten at Anheuser-Busch. More than 250 Chamber members interested in advocacy and others in the business community attended.

This signature event was established to showcase the current status of business in Fort Collins and the surrounding area. Topics included reigniting the economy, economic trends, the value of jobs and workforce and more. The event also featured how the Chamber is working for business at the state and local levels.

Fort Collins Area Chamber President & CEO, Ann Hutchison addressed the audience, alongside Fort Collins Mayor Jeni Arndt and Congressman Joe Neguse. Each speaker was optimistic about the economic resiliency in the northern Colorado community and challenged the audience to reach out to region leaders and be a voice for business.

“I challenge business to connect with local elected officials and share thoughts, ideas and concerns. Together we can build community and build a path to take on these issues,” Hutchinson said.

“(I) enjoyed visiting with business leaders in Northern Colorado with the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Rep. Neguse on his Twitter account. “(It was) wonderful to see the strong progress toward economic recovery in our community. We’ll keep working to ensure Colorado small businesses can thrive.”

Tickets were complimentary of the 2022 State of Business Sponsors. Admission included food from Northern Colorado Catering, beverages courtesy of Anheuser-Busch and entertainment by the Poudre Valley Playboys.
