Co-Hosted by The Arc of Larimer County and The Arc of Weld County, Colorado’s Only 2019 Wrightslaw Conference Will Take Place at Embassy Suites by Hilton in Loveland
Registration is now open for the 2019 Colorado Wrightslaw Conference, a one-day intensive special education focused training for parents and families with children living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Co-hosted by The Arc of Larimer County and The Arc of Weld County, the 2019 Colorado Wrightslaw Conference is the only Wrightslaw event to be held in the state in 2019.
The conference, featuring the renowned attorney Pete Wright, will be held during Autism Awareness Month on April 25, 2019, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton located at 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, Loveland, Colo. Despite being held during Autism Awareness Month, the 2019 Colorado Wrightslaw Conference is non-disability specific and provides education relevant to all intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Pete Wright is a known author and attorney representing children with special educational needs. His passion for children stemmed from his childhood growing up with learning disabilities. In 1998, Wright and his wife, Pam, founded Wrightslaw, the number one ranked website by Alexa Rankings informing the public about education law, special education law and special education advocacy.
Pam and Pete Wright provide special education law and advocacy training for parents, advocates, attorneys, educators, and others who want to ensure that children with disabilities receive quality special education programs. The Wrightslaw Conference was created to help parents understand how they can be effective advocates for their child. This one-day intensive training will cover what your child’s rights are regarding access to a free and appropriate public education.
