Early Childhood Council of Larimer County offers a convenient website, LarimerChildCare.org, for local families to find childcare based on their preferences, including proximity to home or work, program type, program season, and more.

“Larimer Child Care Connect is an incredible resource that helps make it easier for families to find childcare, preschool, and out-of-school care based on their preferences,” said Christina Taylor, CEO of Early Childhood Council of Larimer County. “Providers regularly update their current openings, so families can see what options are available.”

LarimerChildCare.org was created in 2020 to make searching for and finding childcare easier for Larimer County families. The site includes information supplied by early care and education providers as well as their Colorado Shines quality rating, which is given by the state based on the licensed provider meeting basic health and safety standards.

This past fall, the Larimer Child Care Fund scholarship application was added as an additional option on the website to streamline the process for families. The fund currently has a waitlist for families with low-to-moderate incomes who do not qualify for Colorado Child Care Assistance (CCCAP) benefits.

LarmierChildCare.org has helped hundreds of families find licensed childcare, preschool, and out-of-school care.

“Our hope is that every family in Larimer County knows about and utilizes this amazing free resource,” Taylor said.
