FORT COLLINS, COLO. – Oct. 17, 2016 – Houska Automotive, a local and family-owned and operated automotive shop in Fort Collins, will host the 15th annual Halloween Blood Drive on Friday, Oct. 28, from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Garth Englund Blood Center, located at 1025 Pennock Place in Fort Collins near Lemay and Pennock.

“This year’s theme is ‘Vote to Save Lives’ in honor of the upcoming presidential election,” said Dennis Houska, owner and president of Houska Automotive. “When giving blood, everyone is a winner because so many people in our community are benefited by this selfless act.”

In addition to helping lives in the community, donors will receive a Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing gift card good for a free pint of beer or non-alcoholic beverage when donating a pint of blood. Everyone who donates blood, makes a donation to the bloodmobile fund or joins the bone marrow registry at Garth Englund Blood Center on the day of may also enter to win a set of Goodyear tires valued at up to $800. To be eligible to give blood, a person must be at least 18 years old, or 17 with a parent’s permission, and show photo identification. New donors must weigh at least 120 pounds and be in good health.
