The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce announced today Mark Lautman as a second speaker in their Thought Leader Speaker Series. Author of “When Boomers Bail: How Demographics will Sort Communities into Winners and Losers,” Lautman will speak on Monday, April 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Fort Collins Marriott, 350 E Horsetooth. Tickets are on sale now at www.FortCollinsChamber.com.

Mark Lautman is a founding director of the Community Economics Lab, a private not-for-profit think tank that innovates new approaches to economic development to work in a labor and capital constrained economy. His consulting business, Lautman Economic Architecture, LLC, works with community leaders to transform community economies and elevate the professional practice of economic and workforce development.

“It’s a compelling read, if you’re interested in how the accelerating retirement of the Baby Boom generation will impact our community, especially the economy. We are very pleased to have Mark come to Fort Collins to challenge our thinking,” said David May, president & ceo of the Chamber.

Tickets for the event are $40 for members of the Chamber and $50 for non-members. Tickets are available at www.fortcollinschamber.com or by calling (970) 482-3746.

The Fort Collins Area Chamber expects more than 200 people at the April 28 event.

The Lautman Presentation in the Thought Leadership Speaker Series is sponsored by High Country Beverage.
