The Post Brings Fried Chicken to Jax Fish House

Starting October 4th, fried chicken suppers are popping up at Jax every Sunday for pre-order and takeout only

The Big Red F Restaurant Group is bringing its fried chicken restaurant, The Post Chicken & Beer, to Fort Collins. The Post’s award-winning gluten-free fried chicken and comforting side dishes will be available for family-style Sunday suppers to-go from Jax every week, starting Sunday, October 4th.

“We opened the first Post in Lafayette in 2014 and we now have four locations” says Big Red F founder and chef Dave Query. “For a few years now, I’ve been looking for a brick-and-mortar space in Fort Collins for a Post, but in the meantime we want to bring this chicken party to our friends in FoCo starting with these Sunday dinners Jax.”

The Post’s unique fried chicken recipe was developed by Chef & Partner Brett Smith after years of extensive fried chicken research (a.k.a. eating fried chicken all over the country). The Post starts with humanely raised, fresh and all-natural chicken, which is brined for hours in milk, dredged in a seasoned gluten-free flour blend, and then pressure fried until juicy inside and crispy golden brown on the outside. The chicken is available classic or doused in rippin’ Nashville Hot sauce and is served with house pickles and gravy and an array of side dishes. Additionally, 32-ounce crowlers of Post craft beer are available to add to your order for just $10, or get three crowlers for $25. Beer selections at launch include Townie (Easy Drinkin’ IPA), El Corn (Amber Lager), and Dry Stout.

Jax will have very limited quantities of Post fried chicken available for pre-order every week. Orders must be placed by Friday at midnight for pickup that Sunday at Jax. Pickup is every sunday from 3-5 p.m.
