The Lagoon Summer Concert Series, one of Northern Colorado’s favorite family-friendly concert series, has returned to the west lawn of the Colorado State University Lory Student Center. Owned and produced by the Mantooth Company for the past 25 years, this popular summer tradition brings together friends and families (who pack picnic suppers or patronize onsite food trucks) on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. through July 27.
For its fourth week, the Lagoon Concert Series welcomes Christine Alice to the stage on Wednesday, July 6. Alice is a Fort Collins native whose music has been critically acclaimed by both local musicians and professionals throughout the country. The breadth of her music crosses all types of genres from pop, country, alternative, to lo-fi and more.
Emceeing Wednesday’s concert will be radio personality and host of “Jambalaya with Daniel Lockwood,” Daniel Lockwood of KRFC 88.9 FM. Lockwood grew up listening to his father’s vinyl collection and making mix tapes. His passion was reinvigorated after getting involved with college radio and hasn’t looked back since!
Attendees should bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, kids and leashed pets to enjoy the show. Food trucks will be on site offering a great choice of dinner, snacks and drinks, including The Goodness Truck, Gelato and aMore, Bedrock BBQ and Human Bean of Northern Colorado.
The concert is presented by Canvas Credit Union, Colorado State University (CSU) and Mantooth Company. CSU will be hosting booths for CSU Music Business, CSU Drone Center, Colorado Water Center and CSU Spur. Additional sponsors that will be hosting booths at the event include Canvas Credit Union, NOCO Style, WomenGive and City of Fort Collins.
Mantooth is proud to have produced the Lagoon Concert Series – and to have brought great fun to Northern Colorado – for 25 years! Since its inception, there have been 153 band performances, approximately 187,000 music-loving attendees, and there have been six car giveaways!
