February 17 is Guest Barista Day benefiting 5 to Thrive
February 20 is Thankful Thursday benefiting social workers
The Human Bean of Northern Colorado has become a household name in northern Colorado through their nine drive-thru locations and their mobile coffee truck. Community is at the heart of everything they do, and to tie in with that, they have several events planned that support our community members and encourage customers to give back.
Monday, February 17 is Guest Barista Day at the Fort Collins Midtown location. From 9-11 a.m., guest barista students from 5 to Thrive will be talking to customers about teen suicide prevention. 10% of purchases made all day at this location will benefit 5 to Thrive.
On Thursday, February 20, all Human Bean locations in northern Colorado will be hosting Thankful Thursday. This month’s Thankful Thursday honors social workers. Social workers work hard each day fighting for the community’s children. To say thank you, The Human Bean is inviting social workers to enjoy a $2 drink up to a 20 oz. when they show a name badge, ID or uniform.
About 5 to Thrive: 5 to Thrive began two years ago by high school student Kaylee and 4 other peers with the goal of preventing teen suicide. The organization works to create awareness, remove stigma, introduce alternative therapies, and encourage better health habits. The group challenges all teens to focus on five areas: sleep, nutrition, self-care, fitness, and service to improve overall mental health.
