The HIVE: A Family Justice Center Opens in Northern Colorado
Community Invited to Open House on March 24; Services Begin April 2
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Crossroads Safehouse, in partnership with local law enforcement, advocacy, healthcare, housing, and legal organizations, proudly announces the upcoming opening of The HIVE: A Family Justice Center, a new survivor-centered hub designed to transform how individuals and families impacted by violence access support in Northern Colorado.
The community is invited to celebrate this milestone at a public Open House on Monday, March 24, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at The HIVE, located within the Crossroads Safehouse campus in Fort Collins. The HIVE will officially open for survivor services on April 2, 2026.
The HIVE—short for Hub for Information, Validation, and Empowerment—brings together multidisciplinary partners under one roof to reduce barriers, eliminate the need for survivors to navigate multiple systems alone, and create coordinated, trauma-informed pathways to safety and healing. Survivors can access advocacy, law enforcement support, medical care, housing navigation, legal services, financial empowerment, therapy, and more—without having to repeat their story at every door.
“When someone is experiencing violence or crisis, the system shouldn’t make things harder,” said Lori Warren, Executive Director of Crossroads Safehouse and Services. “The HIVE was created so survivors can walk into one safe, welcoming place and find coordinated support that honors their choices, their dignity, and their strength.”
Modeled after nationally recognized Family Justice Centers, The HIVE represents a shared commitment among partners to collaboration, accountability, and survivor-led services. Participating partners include Crossroads Safehouse, District Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District, Fort Collins Police Services, Loveland Police Department, SAVA Center, Homeward Alliance, Neighbor to Neighbor, Alternatives to Violence, UCHealth Forensic Nurses, KeyBank, The Initiative, ChildSafe Colorado, local legal partners, and more.
Beginning April 2, survivors will be able to access coordinated services at The HIVE through drop-in hours, referrals, scheduled appointments, and warm handoffs from partner agencies, creating a more seamless and supportive experience during times of crisis and transition.
The March 24 Open House will offer guided tours of the Center, opportunities to meet partner organizations, and a closer look at how the collaborative model works in practice. Community members, elected officials, funders, service providers, and neighbors are all welcome.
