The Community Development & Neighborhood Services Department is awarding mini grants to small businesses and non-profits with 20 or fewer employees going through the Building or Development Review process to provide them with technical assistance. This funding is from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and is intended to help support our local business community recovery from the effects of COVID-19.
Each approved business can receive a maximum of $2,000 for tenant finishes and/or change of use, minor amendments, and other development review applications. Mini grant funding may be spent on technical services such as project management, site planning, landscape design, civil/structural engineering, surveying, lighting design, architectural design, sprinkler design, environmental consultations, and fire/hazard consultations, etc.
