Each year, TEAM Wellness & Prevention- a local nonprofit dedicated to preventing substance abuse in youth- hosts their flagship event, the Simply RED Gala. Housed at the gorgeously renovated Hilton Fort Collins on February 24, 2017, the event raises crucial funds supporting Team’s substance abuse prevention efforts in NoCo youth.
For the 2017 event Simply RED will feature legendary local band The Blues DoGS, and again recreate the Red Carpet Experience, allowing guests to receive the full celebrity treatment as they enter the gala. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on a large selection of silent and live auction items, play classic patio games like Giant Jenga and cornhole, and enjoy a world-class meal. TEAM encourages people to have fun with their attire for the evening, calling for “Cocktail Attire and Dancing Shoes,” with, of course, the theme of the evening as RED.
Additionally, Team will continue its commitment to recognizing community members who do extraordinary work for local youth. This year’s award winners will be announced at the event in the categories of: First Responder of the Year, Educator of the Year, the Lamplighter Award, and for the second year in a row, the Dot Tomlinson Lifetime Achievement Award.
