Small Business Outlook Survey

A Harris Interactive survey done on behalf of the U.S. Chamber reveals that most small business owners are optimistic about their own companies but 84% say the U.S. economy is on the wrong track. You can find an overview of the findings here.

The top five challenges cited by respondents are economic uncertainty (49%), America’s growing debt and deficit (47%), the 2010 healthcare bill (39%), over-regulation (36%) and high taxes (28%).

To the question about whether their company’s best days are in front of them or behind them, 38% of respondents were not sure, 39% said ahead of them and 23% said behind them.
