Six new providers joined the UCHealth team in the northern Colorado region in November.
Longtime Loveland physician Dr. Douglas Webster has joined the team of providers at UCHealth Internal Medicine, 2500 Rocky Mountain Ave., Loveland.
Although he has been caring for patients as an internal medicine physician in Loveland for more than 23 years, he also considers himself to be a teacher.
“Patients who understand their diagnoses and treatments are more capable of becoming active partners with their physicians in achieving and maintaining their best possible state of health. My intent is to provide to my patients the most up-to-date information available regarding their condition and subsequent diagnostic and therapeutic options,” he said.
Webster is interested in all aspects of adult health care and geriatric care from acute illnesses to complex medical conditions.
He earned a medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Ohio State University Hospitals.

Dr. Daniel Freese has joined the team of gastroenterology providers at UCHealth Longmont Clinic, 1925 W. Mountain View Ave. in Longmont.
He believes that physicians and patients must work together to achieve the best results. “It is important for the doctor and patient to develop a strong bond and both participate in that person’s medical care,” he said.
Freese is a doctor of osteopathic medicine and has a strong interest in functional bowel disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome.
He chose to join the UCHealth team because he loves helping people. “To be part of helping shape health care delivery in the local area and finding ways to best serve the population is where I want to be and what I want to be doing,” he said.
Freese earned his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Nassau University Medical Center in New York.

Dr. John Paulus and nurse practitioner Robynn Levene have joined the team at UCHealth Cheyenne Medical Specialists, 5050 Powderhouse Road in Cheyenne.
Specializing in internal medicine, Paulus believes that a physician must evaluate and treat the whole person: body, mind and spirit.
“Depression may be due to an endocrine problem. Diabetes is often triggered by lifestyle and environment. Chronic inflammation and fatigue may be related to the gastrointestinal tract,” he said. “As an internal medicine specialist, I realize that there is not a simple cookbook remedy for disease. I cannot just prescribe a pill. Medical problems are often complex and cross over multiple body systems, and every case is unique.”
Paulus listens carefully to his patients’ concerns and performs a thorough physical examination and analyzes all of the necessary data to formulate a treatment plan.
He is a doctor of osteopathic medicine and has a strong interest in cardiovascular health as well as the diagnosis, treatment and maintenance of optimal health.
Paulus earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Levene joined the family medicine team at the clinic and is especially interested in diagnostics, treatment, health promotion, education and cardiology.
“It is very important to me to focus on the best outcome for the patient in all circumstances,” she said. “I think of the patient as my own family member and want to make sure the care I provide my patient is a group effort in which we work together to come up with the best care plan.”
Levene earned a master’s degree from the family nurse practitioner program at Kaplan University.
