Three special events in April will complement Russian Retrospective, an exceptional new exhibit attracting huge crowds at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. The unique display showcases painted Russian eggs and Matryoshka nesting dolls in addition to artwork, artifacts, and treasures from the world’s largest country.
On Saturday, April 6, from 11 am to noon, the Museum hosts a World Language Storytime in Russian in collaboration with the Poudre River Public Library District. The storytime is free and geared for all
ages.
A Russian Roundtable will be held Saturday, April 13, from 2-4 pm with an open invitation for persons to participate who have visited or lived in Russia. Russian heritage students from Colorado State University will be in attendance as well as Ludmila Pokatilova, the Russia Program Coordinator at CSU. The third presentation features Steven Seegel, Professor of Russian History at the University of Northern Colorado. Who is Russia? An Historical Perspective will be presented from 2-4 pm Saturday,
April 20. Program admission is $5/person and includes entry into the Museum’s four galleries.
