FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Sept. 19, 2016 – Realities For Children Charities has launched a brick fundraising campaign to help the organization reach the $900,000 it needs to build the Realities For Children Homebase Facility and Youth Activities Campus in Larimer County. The non-profit organization has 130 bricks available for donation to finalize its fundraising efforts for the new facility that will provide more space for the programs and events produced by Realities and its 31 local affiliate youth agencies that support children and families in need throughout the region.
Each brick purchase is a $1,000 tax-deductible donation with 100 percent of proceeds going directly toward the Homebase Facility. The Richardson Foundation will be matching each donation dollar-for-dollar, helping Realities For Children reach its goal. In addition to the Richardson Foundation and several local donors, Shaquil Barrett, outside linebacker for the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos and Colorado State University graduate, and wife Jordanna Barrett actively support the project. The Barrett’s have donated a brick and will host a “Meet and Greet” at the RFC Donor Appreciation Dinner slated for February 2017.
The Homebase Facility and Youth Activities Campus sits on four acres in Larimer County, south of Fort Collins. This innovative facility will provide a safe haven and centrally-located space for children and families served by Realities For Children’s affiliate agency partners. The facility provides room to support their County distributions and youth activities that provide cathartic and therapeutic opportunities for change. Some of these annual services and distributions include Back To School Supplies, Warm Winter Clothing and Santa’s Toy shop and Bikes For Tykes.
“We have long operated with the approach that if we have the ability to better a life – we have the responsibility to do so,” said Craig Secher, president and founder of Realities For Children. “As a result, we have chosen to follow the call to provide the ‘Homebase’ centralized campus for the children of Larimer County and invite our community members to join us and donate a brick on the ‘Path of Healing’.”
Each brick may be engraved with up to three lines of 17 characters on each line. Bricks may be dedicated to a family, in a business name or in memory of a loved one. Those interested in making a charitable brick donation can visit Realities For Children’s Donation Page, selecting the Realities Homebase Designation or call 970-484-9090. Any gift size is appreciated and will be doubled in service and impact by The Richardson Foundation.
