Every person who gets the a COVID-19 vaccine helps stop the virus from spreading, helping our community stay healthy and our businesses thriving. Larimer County Public Health Director Tom Gonzales believes the light is getting brighter toward the end of the pandemic and that vaccinations will help the county get there.

During a Town Hall hosted by the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce and Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, May 17, Gonzales provided an overall health update and discussed the importance and availability of vaccines in the community. He reminded the business community that vaccines are free, only a name and birthday is required and the county will work with  businesses to have vaccines easily accessible.

There is also a list of vaccine sites that accept walk-ins.

Gonzales also spoke on how Larimer County is now aligned with statewide Colorado public health orders and recommendations and that there are currently no local public health orders related to COVID-19. The county’s Business Guidance & Resources has been updated with more information, including Colorado’s recommendation on face coverings.
