Leadership Northern Colorado a joint initiative of the Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland Chambers of Commerce, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County.  It was established in 2010 to build human capacity in Northern Colorado to identify, define and address the issues facing the region.

The program is designed to educate and motivate leaders who are committed to shaping the future of our region.

In a competitive selection process, 30 current and emerging leaders from throughout the region are chosen to participate in the program each year, which begins in January and concludes in June. Participants come together once a month for a day-long session to learn about public governance, land use and infrastructure, education and workforce, economic development, and regional leadership.

“As the Northern Colorado region continues to grow, it is important to have leaders who understand issues in a regional context and have the ability to work together across traditional jurisdictional boundaries,” said David May, president and CEO of the Fort Collins chamber. “Leadership Northern Colorado is about building the leadership capacity, knowledge and relationships to be able to successfully tackle those types of issues in the years ahead.”
