Tim Blodgett completes wholesale utility’s senior leadership team
FORT COLLINS, Colo., – Platte River Power Authority (Platte River) recently hired Tim Blodgett to serve as chief strategy officer (CSO). The position will play a critical role in defining strategies, identifying needs and executing tactics as Platte River continues to make progress on its energy transition goals highlighted in the Resource Diversification Policy.
“I’m pleased to welcome Tim to Platte River. He brings an extensive knowledge base of experience working for joint action agencies and distribution utilities. His unique perspective and thoughtful strategic approach will be invaluable as we collaborate with our owner communities and continue to make progress on our shared goals,” said Jason Frisbie, general manager and CEO of Platte River.
Tim has been in the utility industry in various roles for the duration of his career and he joins Platte River with more than 36 years of service in strategic communication, leadership and brings a deep understanding of public power. He most recently served as the vice president of member services and communications for Missouri River Energy Services. In that role, he led the communications, strategic planning, member support and retail programs for the organization.
“Enhancing Platte River’s strategic communications and implementing new approaches will be a key focus for me,” said Blodgett. “I look forward to collaborating with our owner communities, strengthening community relationships and helping to share our story as we work together toward a cleaner energy future.”
Blodgett’s appointment completes Platte River’s senior leadership team following a restructuring designed to align leadership roles with the organization’s long-term energy goals outlined in the Resource Diversification Policy.
