FORT COLLINS, Colo. (April 17, 2017) – As part of its mission to provide community support and enhance quality of life, Pathways is hosting the 11th Annual Caregivers Pampering Day on Saturday, April 29, 2017, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The purpose of this special day is to honor those who spend their days and nights caring for a loved one. Caregivers in the community are invited to attend a free day of enjoyment, relaxation and pampering.
“Caring for an ill loved one is a difficult and underappreciated job,” said Tammy Brannen-Smith, Director of Pathways for Grief and Loss. “We want all our caregivers to feel treasured and to take time for self-care.”
With the help of many volunteers, caregivers can indulge in free services with yoga and belly dancing instructors and massage therapists; learn stress relief techniques and art making; enjoy pedicures and tea tasting by Happy Lucky Teahouse and much more.
Caregivers Pampering Day is a collaboration between Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia- Friendly Communities of Northern Colorado, Larimer County Office on Aging, Mountain View Presbyterian Church and Pathways. This special day is also made possible with financial support from AARP, UCHealth, Aspen Club, Seniors Helping Seniors, Mackenzie Place and other collaborating organizations.
