Healing Warriors Program Launches Operation: Comfort & Joy during these challenging times.

The holiday season can be very difficult for our Service Members and their families and with the ongoing pandemic concerns, and cold weather upon us, many are struggling to find joy this holiday season. Our Healing Warriors Program team and community volunteers have assembled over 200 Comfort & Joy kits which include blankets, soup, oatmeal, other food and health items as well as cards from our local children. We are coming together as a community to thank our Veterans for Serving our Nation and to provide them with a little support during these cold days.

“Loneliness, and Social Isolation is a crisis within a crisis that has grown due to COVID19,” said Janet Hatfield, Development Director, “small gestures, outreach, resources and kindness to those most at risk, takes very little effort and yield huge rewards in our community. We are dedicated to our community and in serving those who have served our nation.”

If you are a veteran, or the spouse/partner or parent of a veteran, please know that our Clinic Client Care Navigator is available to help connect you with community resources such as food, transportation, counseling services and housing. Please call the clinic at 970-776-VETS (8387) for more information.
