Now Playing Through April 19 at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre
OpenStage is thrilled to welcome three powerhouse performers making their company debuts in the riveting production of The Minutes by Tracy Letts, running now through April 19 at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre.
Jozeph Mykaels steps into the role of Mr. Peel, bringing his signature presence and range to the production. A proud native of Denver, Mykaels has appeared in regional premieres such as The Prom and Raisin with Town Hall Arts Center, and most recently portrayed Leland in Firehouse Theatre’s Blues for an Alabama Sky. His bold performances and versatile talent make him a standout addition to the OpenStage ensemble.
Christopher Gausselin, who plays Mayor Superba, marks his Colorado debut with this production. Originally from Chicago, Gausselin trained at the National Theatre School of Ireland and brings a wealth of international and national experience to the stage, including roles at Steppenwolf Theatre and the Samuel Beckett Theatre in Dublin. A longtime SAG member and playwright, Gausselin is also a principal at V3 Executive Communication, helping leaders around the globe strengthen their presence and storytelling.
Jysten Atom joins the cast as Mr. Blake, blending theatricality and innovation in performance. An alum of Kent State University’s Musical Theatre program, Atom has performed with companies across the country, including the Hangar Theatre Lab and Gorilla Tango Theatre. Their recent roles include Dr. Sam Thomas in Blues for an Alabama Sky and Charlie in Scrooge in Rouge. Outside the theatre, Atom is a songwriter, game designer, and contributor to Crisis Intervention Training for first responders.
The Minutes, directed by Sydney Parks Smith, is a biting and timely political satire that peels back the facade of small-town government. Don’t miss your chance to see these three artists light up the stage in this gripping, darkly comedic production.
