OpenStage Theatre has successfully raised $449 in donations during the run of their recent production, “The Book of Will.” These funds will directly benefit Poudre Library Systems, supporting the upcoming Fort Collins Book Fest in February 2024—a free, month-long celebration of the literary arts for all ages.

The Poudre River Public Library District, serving over 207,000 people across a vast 1,800 square-mile region in northern Larimer County, operates three libraries in Fort Collins and an all-electric mobile library named Evie. The district is devoted to meeting the diverse needs of communities by providing exceptional opportunities for learning, intellectual stimulation, and personal enjoyment. Notably, the annual Fort Collins Book Fest stands as a testament to their commitment, offering a free month-long celebration of the literary arts for all ages.

“We are thrilled to announce the successful fundraising effort during the run of ‘The Book of Will,'” said Jessica Kroupa, Managing Director at OpenStage Theatre. “Our partnership with Poudre Libraries reflects our shared dedication to fostering a love for literature and supporting cultural events that enrich our community. The $449 raised will contribute to the success of the upcoming Fort Collins Book Fest, allowing us to continue celebrating the literary arts in a meaningful and accessible way.”

The collaborative effort between OpenStage and Poudre Libraries exemplifies the power of the arts to make a positive impact on the community. OpenStage remains committed to using its platform to not only entertain but also contribute to the betterment of the community through initiatives that promote literacy, culture, and community engagement.
