Northern Engineering Services (Northern Engineering), provider of civil engineering and land surveying services in Northern Colorado, has promoted long-term employees, Matt Lockwood and Andy Reese, to Vice President.
Matt has been surveying since 2000 and started with Northern in 2002. He is involved in a multitude of projects from beginning to end. He is in charge of coordinating survey crews with initial topography and boundary recovery, construction staking, final as-builts, and setting property corners for final plats. Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Agricultural Business and an Economics Minor. Matt received his PLS in 2012.
Matt resides in Fort Collins with his wife, Amy, and daughters, Mackenzie and Madison. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, sports, reading, and spending time with family.
Andy has been with the company since 2003. He began his engineering career as an intern in high school and worked his way up to project manager. Andy’s time in the industry has provided an opportunity to
work on a wide variety of projects. From large commercial projects to small office developments, master planned residential projects to individual custom home lots, student housing projects or the schools those
students attend, Andy has experienced them all.
Andy is a native of Fort Collins, having attended Fort Collins High School prior to attending Front Range Community College. He has remained in Fort Collins, where he currently resides with his wife, Melissa,
and son, Kellan. He enjoys being a dad, skiing, camping, and fly fishing. He particularly enjoys a good meal with good company.
