The World of Jan Brett Exhibit in Final Weeks at Fort Collins Museum of Art

The Fort Collins Museum of Art’s current exhibit, The World of Jan Brett, is drawing to a close. The exhibit is in its final three weeks at the museum and the last day is Sunday, August 23, 2015. The closing weeks of the exhibit offer plenty of fun activities to entertain the whole family from story times, scavenger hunts, word finds to a coloring station.

The World of Jan Brett features original artwork and interactive adventure areas that bring to life the stories of the admired children’s author/illustrator. More than 50 original paintings and sketchbooks, interactive exhibit areas, themed reading environments and kid-friendly graphics and labels take visitors on a journey around the world to learn about the places and cultures that Jan Brett gets her inspiration from. 

Saturday, August 8- Open Admission Day sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. This fun-filled day will feature a live hedgehog show and tell, and a fun hedgehog craft for kids.

Saturday, August 15- Open Admission Day sponsored by EKS&H.

Saturday & Sunday, August 22,23- Please join us for the last days of Jan Brett as we feature a back-to-school weekend at the museum with story times both days, a letter writing station to Jan Brett, bookmark decorating and a back-to-school coloring station. 

So head down to the Fort Collins Museum of Art for family entertainment, kid-friendly programming and great fun!

The World of Jan Brett is a traveling exhibition organized by the Oshkosh Public Museum in partnership with Jan Brett. The exhibit’s display at the Fort Collins Museum of Art is part of a nationwide tour.

The museum is located 201 South College Ave., in the heart of Downtown Fort Collins. The museum is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm; Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.
