The Human Bean School Supply Drive a Big Success

Feb 19, 2015 | Member News

With the help of Weld County customers, the Human Bean donated over 6,000 school supply items to Teacher’s Closet, a new program for Greeley-Evans School District 6 that accepts new and used supplies and materials for staff to use in their schools and classrooms.

Between February 2 and February 8 The Human Bean collected donations during their School Supply Drive at each of their Weld County locations. Items collected include pencils, glue, crayons and more. In exchange for donated items The Human Bean offered double punches to customers’ loyalty cards.

“Being equipped with the right tools is the first step toward success,” said Frank Sherman, owner of The Human Bean. “We are so proud and appreciative of the support customers showed in helping our local students.”

Donations from the community will be displayed in the Teachers Closet, where teachers can “shop for free” to get the supplies they need to create a welcoming and effective learning environment in the classroom.
