The Human Bean Presents Nearly $600 to Wellington’s Harvest Farm
NORTHERN COLORADO (January 7, 2016) – On November 20 all seven Human Bean locations collected $1 from every mocha drink sold to benefit Harvest Farm. As a long-term rehabilitation center in Wellington, Harvest Farm provides opportunities for those suffering from chronic homelessness and addiction to attain self-sufficiency through the New Life Program. On December 17, a check for $553 was presented to Harvest Farm to help cover operational costs.
“We are pleased to be able to support such a unique program that focuses on the well-being of men in our community,” said Frank Sherman, owner of The Human Bean. “Strong programs like this are crucial to ensure that our community is happy and satisfied with the lives they lead.”
The New Life Program is offered free-of-charge to all participants and takes 13 to 27 months to complete. Participants go through five phases to gain skills, stability and self-esteem necessary to become productive members of society. The program consists of five primary components: spiritual development, case management, counseling, education & life skills, and work therapy. The Human Bean’s donation will go towards the cost of helping a man complete the New Life Program at Harvest Farm.
