The Human Bean of Northern Colorado is hosting a special Guest Barista Day on Monday, June 29 at the 821 N. College Ave. location. Any healthy individuals that make an appointment to donate blood from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on this day will receive a $10 Human Bean gift card. The Human Bean Northern Colorado will also be donating 10% of the day’s sales from the North College location to the UCHealth Garth Englund Blood Center.
Each year, World Blood Donor Day (June 14) raises awareness that blood centers are in critical need of blood donors in our community. The Red Cross issued a call for blood donations so that we do not experience a blood shortage on top of the pandemic. Individuals are still able to donate blood with proper safety precautions in place:
- Appointments are required in order to allow both staff and donors to practice social distancing.
- Masks are required for the safety of staff and donors.
- Appointments are very limited in order to follow social distancing rules while on the blood donor bus.
- Appointments can be made for the Human Bean’s blood drive on June 29 here.

Donated blood is used by Poudre Valley Hospital, Harmony Cancer Center, and Medical Center of the Rockies.
