The Country Music Project to Play at Lagoon Summer Concert Series July 17

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series strives to include a variety of music genres over the course of the summer. Country fans will be excited to learn that The Country Music Project is headed to the Lagoon stage on Wednesday, July 17.  The concert is from 6-8:30 p.m. at the west lawn of the Lory Student Center at CSU.

The Country Music Project consists of female and male vocals and a variety of instruments to play your favorite pieces. Their repertoire ranges from country classics such as Merle Haggard and George Jones to today’s country rock including Jason Aldean and Chris Cagle. TCMP has a little something for every country fan that will be sure to get you on your feet and dancing!

The Little Kids Rock performers opening this week is the band Unfocused Dreamer.

The food truck lineup this week includes Bedrock BBQ, Wing Shack, Rollin’ Stone, The Human Bean Coffee Truck and Liquid N2 Ice Cream.  Lagoon attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics or purchase food from any of the trucks onsite.

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series runs for seven weeks throughout the summer and features a variety of music styles including country, reggae, folk, rock and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for an enjoyable evening of free music. Residents should be cautioned that there is no parking allowed on Plum Drive.

For those who can’t make the show, The Country Music Project’s performance will be broadcast on KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins on Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. as part of their “Around Town” series.
