Fort Collins, Colorado (August 4 & 5, 2017): Raintree Athletic Club believes that instilling the passion for lifelong fitness begins at an early age. Our annual Fitness Festival event aims to impact the lives of children in our own community by raising funds to purchase new physical education and recess equipment for the students at a selected school in the Poudre School District. We are thrilled to announce that this year’s 8th annual Fitness Festival will benefit Dunn Elementary. Our goal is to raise over $3000 worth of new equipment to replenish the supplies this school currently uses to keep kids active throughout the school year.
We invite you to help us reach our goal by attending the 8th Annual Fitness Festival – held on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th in Raintree’s parking lot on the corner of Drake & Shields. This year’s event is open to the public and includes a full schedule of fitness classes, kids activities, local business expo, silent auction, live music and more.
The festivities begin on Friday evening with two outdoor cycling classes, followed by an hour long dance party split between BodyJAM and Zumba workout formats – all levels welcome. Grab dinner with Austin Taco Food Truck with a drink at our beer garden provided by Intersect Brewing and relax and enjoy some live music till approximately 8:30pm.
Return on Saturday morning to try a new group fitness class, enjoy a donation pancake breakfast, visit with local businesses that are supporting this cause, let the kids enjoy our inflatable obstacle course, face painting, and KIDS Snack Attack where they will learn how to build a healthy snack at home!
The silent auction is the main fundraising effort with items donated from numerous local businesses including CopperMuse Distillery, Athleta, Natural Grocers, Wildbloom Skincare, St. Peter’s Fly Shop and more. This silent auction will open Wednesday, August 2nd and run through the event, closing at 12pm on Saturday, August 5th. 100% of the proceeds from this auction will be used to purchase new physical education and recess equipment for the students of Dunn Elementary.
