Peak Serum, Inc. contributed $2,000 to Project Self-Sufficiency’s (PS-S) Holiday Family Fund during the Month of December. A percentage of all December sales were donated to “provide much-needed smiles during the holiday season,” said Tom Kutrubes, President and CEO of Peak Serum, Inc.
The Holiday Family Fund helps enhance the holiday season for many participants’ families. With Peak Serum’s $2,000 donation, 20 children from 14 different families were able to enjoy and provide a holiday celebration for their children. “Our staff and participants are extremely grateful for this gift from Peak Serum, Inc.,” said Neva Menchaca, Project Self-Sufficiency Program Coordinator.
“Peak Serum, Inc. appreciates everything Project Self-Sufficiency contributes to Northern Colorado and is honored to partner with an organization that has brought the promise of education to single parents for over 30 years,” said Kutrubes.
Project Self-Sufficiency serves approximately 160 low-income families each year. The program provided by Project Self-Sufficiency supports families who earn below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level, meaning that many of these families will not celebrate the holidays and if they do, many of the parents will not be able to afford gifts for their children. When entering the PS-S program, 56.82% of Project Self-Sufficiency participants are homeless.
