Local shuttle provider passionate about clean air and better serving the community

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – SuperShuttle of Northern Colorado awarded Top Local Stakeholder from Northern Colorado Clean Cities and is expanding service in their commitment to the Fort Collins community.

Northern Colorado Clean Cities is an organization sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program.  Clean Cities’ stakeholders work to reduce the use of imported petroleum in transportation. SuperShuttle of Northern Colorado was recently awarded Top Local Stakeholder from Northern Colorado Clean Cities. This award comes with praise from State Senator Michael Bennet.

“Colorado is fortunate to (have) businesses like SuperShuttle of Northern Colorado that lead our communities toward the goal of cleaner air,” Senator Bennet said.

Super Shuttle of Northern Colorado has built a fleet of vehicles primarily fueled by propane, bio-diesel and E-85. SuperShuttle is the most environmentally conscious shared-ride transportation provider in Northern Colorado. During its lifecycle, each SuperShuttle propane autogas shuttle will release 175,000 fewer pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than it would have operating on gasoline.

“We are proud to be part of the Fort Collins community and are honored to be Clean Cities’ Top Local Stakeholder,” said General Manager, Brad Bayne.

SuperShuttle of Northern Colorado is announcing a direct service option beginning Feb. 22. Residents and those traveling to and from Fort Collins will be able to go directly to and from DIA without having to stop in Loveland or Longmont.

“As Fort Collins grows we will continue to adjust to best fit the needs of our community,” Bayne said.

SuperShuttle of Northern Colorado invites the Fort Collins community to a Red Ribbon Cutting, Feb. 19 at 9:30am at the Harmony Transfer Center. Members of City Council will be in attendance, coffee and breakfast will be provided. Please RSVP to [email protected] by Feb. 16.
