Healing Warriors Program Receives Grant Award from Elevations Foundation
Fort Collins, Colorado – December 27, 2017 – Healing Warriors Program is honored to announce that it has received a grant from Elevations Foundation for $4000, which will fund over 100 free treatment sessions for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress, chronic pain, and severe sleep disturbances.
Ana Yelen, Executive Director and co-founder of Healing Warriors Program, said, “There is a great need for non-narcotic, Integrative Care therapies for the management of pain, post-traumatic stress, and the debilitating sleep disturbances experienced by many veterans, especially those returning from repetitive deployments. The funds awarded to us by Elevations Foundation enable us to provide these therapies to service members as they work to increase their overall health and well-being. Their progress promotes their reintegration into the community, enhancing their quality of life. We are very grateful to Elevations Foundation for their support of our work with veterans, which is just one of many examples of the foundation’s commitment to our local community.”
At the recent 2017 Annual Grantee Reception honoring the 17 area nonprofits, including Healing Warriors Program, that were awarded grants for their work, Elevations Foundation Board Vice Chair Dennis Paul said, “This year’s event highlighted the vital services these nonprofits provide to our local communities. Elevations Foundation is pleased to support these local great organizations doing such powerful work.” Paul added, “We are humbled to support such dynamic services and look forward to bettering the lives of our neighbors.
