GUEST BARISTA DAY AT THE HUMAN BEAN TO BENEFIT ORPHANAGE IN HAITI

EVANS, COLO, June 20, 2016 – The Human Bean, a community-oriented and locally owned drive-thru coffee business, invites the public to join them in supporting Project Haiti at Guest Barista Day on Thursday, June 23. From 5 a.m. – 10 p.m., 10 percent of all sales generated at The Human Bean’s 3310 23rd Ave. location in Evans will be donated to an orphanage in Desire, Haiti.

The Human Bean currently sponsors Nimrode, a 14-year-old girl from the orphanage, as part of its Project Haiti philanthropic initiative. Kaitlin Keyes, manager at The Human Bean, recently had the opportunity to visit the orphanage to build a relationship with Nimrode and witness the impact The Human Bean has had on her life.

“Despite the heartbreaking realities we saw, there was an unquestionable look of hope in the eyes of those children,” said Keyes of her visit. “They have found what most of us are still looking for – a way to look past the hardships and pain, and instead, choose to be thankful, to be content, to be joyful, and to thrive.”

In addition to supporting the orphanage monetarily, The Human Bean also asks patrons to donate medical and toiletry items, including Band-Aids, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and mini first-aid kits. Those who donate such items will receive double punches on their loyalty cards for their order.
