BAS BLEU READERS’ THEATRE TO PREMIERE KENNEDY CENTER PRIZE WINNING PLAY
For three performances only, on March 10, 11 and 12, Bas Bleu Theatre will offer the first Colorado performances of GOOD WATER by Jessica Moreland. GOOD WATER is the 2022 national winner of the Friends of American Theatre playwrighting award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
Moreland, has created a post-Apocalyptic world whose known survivors include a man, a woman, an AI android, and a dying goddess. As they struggle to survive, the choices each character sets the course of the world’s future, such as it may be. The playwright has deftly presented the anxiety and the anger of a generation facing global warming, climate change and a landscape of endless war and hatred; with some humor posed to the hard questions we are all facing.
The production is directed by Jonathan Farwell, who founded the Readers’ Theatre program in 2006.
