The Good Samaritan Society Fort Collins Village at 508 W. Trilby Road will be the first satellite counseling location for the Colorado State University-based Aging Center of the Rockies (ACoR).  This new partnership will allow staff therapists the opportunity to reach a population that may not typically access services at the University’s primary campus.  Equally important, the ACoR will offer these services to recipients on a sliding scale basis.

The Fort Collins Village welcomes this on-site counseling service as a way to supplement the more general social services support already provided by its full time staff. Additionally, facilitating this type of on-going, on-on-one therapy at an affordable rate will help families and their aging loved ones to navigate the often-difficult and unique challenges facing them as they adjust to terminal diagnoses, chronic illnesses, grief and loss, and the general transition to senior living or skilled nursing care.  Participants may be Good Samaritan Society residents, family members, or people from the greater Fort Collins community.

Counseling sessions at the Village will be offered during a 2-hour window on Friday afternoons, by appointment only.  For more information, contact Good Samaritan Society Fort Collins Village at 970-226-4909 or the Aging Center of the Rockies at 970-281-7738.
