City of Fort Collins: Fourth of July Festivities & Fireworks

Celebrate the Fourth of July

We have an event lineup you won’t want to miss! Grab some coffee and head out early to see hot air balloons launch around the city from Soft Gold, Edora and Twin Silo Parks. Then, tip your hats to the many important services that keep our community running with a driving motorcade parade! Close out the day with a drive-in fireworks show put on in partnership with the City of Loveland and Larimer County at The Ranch Event Complex.

Leave the Fireworks to the Pros

Between hot air balloons, a motorcade parade, and fireworks at The Ranch complex, the City has a fun-filled day planned for you and your family to celebrate safely – so you can leave the fireworks to the pros.

Fireworks – even sparklers – are illegal in Fort Collins city limits, and have been for decades because of the significant risk of fire and property damage this time of year. We ask that you leave the pyrotechnics to the pros, and focus your Fourth of July celebrations on a variety of other fun and festive activities.
