Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce Announces 2013 Small Business of the Year Award Winners: MazTech & All Tech Automotive, Vista Solutions Corporation and Brinkman Partners

The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce held the Celebrating Small Business Award & Luncheon event at the Fort Collins Marriott on May 21, 2013. Forty-one companies were nominated to receive the Small Business of the Year Awards with three awards being given, one for a company with 1-10 employees, one for a company with11-50 employees and one for a company with 51-200 employees.

The award for the company with 1-10 employees was presented to MazTech & All-Tech Automotive. MazTech & All-Tech Automotive currently employs nine people and performs service and repairs on all makes and models up to one-ton vehicles; servicing everything from lube, oil and filter changes to engine and transmission replacements.

The award for the company with 11-50 employees was presented to Vista Solutions Corporation. Vista Solutions Corporation was founded in 1975 under the name HASP as a hardware solutions provider when computing first started to move out of the large corporate data center to become a tool for solving small and medium-sized business challenges.

The award for the company with 51-200 employees was presented to Brinkman Partners. Brinkman Partners was founded in 2005 by Paul and Kevin Brinkman. The overall mission of the company is to integrate team expertise into the real estate industry and offer clients creative opportunities through this collaboration. Today, Brinkman Partners specifically focuses on five service areas: commercial brokerage, construction, development, capital markets and real estate management.

Finalists for the awards also included: American Eagle Distributing Co., Green Ride CO, Inc., Mountain N Plains, Ramplify Sustainable Marketing, and Vern’s Toffee House. The finalists and winners were selected from the nominees by a panel of seven Chamber members.

The luncheon featured Master of Ceremonies Mark Driscoll, First National Bank; Keynote Speaker Derek Haynes, Co-Founder of Scout and Award Presenter David May, Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce.

The luncheon celebrated small businesses and their contributions to Fort Collins.

About the Small Business of the Year Award: For this award, a small business is defined as an independently owned and operated business headquartered in northern Colorado that is organized for profit. The business is required to have 200 employees or fewer to be eligible. To receive a Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, the company must be a member of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce at the time the award is presented and have been in business three years. Businesses were judged on: community involvement and stewardship, commitment to good business practices, overall business growth, innovation, and workplace culture and employee relations.
