Colorado State University hosts Emmy-winning entrepreneur, teaches students to become self-made

CSU & The Adelante Movement presented by Coca-Cola team up to enable students
with financial empowerment and entrepreneurial skills.

Tempe, Ariz., March XX, 2017 – Colorado State University, in collaboration with The Adelante Movement presented by Coca-Cola, will host a free seminar, “How to Become Self Made,” to empower students to become self-made entrepreneurs, featuring keynote speaker Nely Galán.

Galán is a nationally renowned women’s empowerment advocate, author of NY Times bestseller, “SELF MADE: Becoming Empowered, Self-Reliant, and Rich in Every Way” and Emmy Award winning producer of more than 600 episodes of television in Spanish and English. In partnership with Coca-Cola, she founded The Adelante Movement, an organization that unites and empowers Latinas and all women economically and entrepreneurially.

The program will include a workshop followed by a keynote lecture led by Galán. Participants will learn real-life lessons on money, goal setting and the skills to become a self-made entrepreneur. Galán’s tough love approach will inspire students to embark on a quest of pursuing their dreams and the importance of working toward that dream with desire and discipline.

“I realized that my most meaningful success has come from financial self-reliance, and I want to ignite that same self-made mindset in the lives of young women, empowering them to achieve their own economic independence and live rich lives in every way,” Galán said. “Women are the growth-engines of our economy, and collaborating with Colorado State University and Coca-Cola will help shape the economic future of students and our country.”

Students can register free of charge at www.TheAdelanteMovement.com/CSU and the first 150 students who register will receive a complimentary copy of Galán’s book, Self Made.
