The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the winners of the 2019 Small Business of the Year Awards. The winner for the small category (1-10 employees) is Technical Framework; winner for the medium category (11-50 employees) is All Star Cleaning Services; winner for the large category (51-200 employees) is Charco Broiler Restaurant; and winner for the New Kid on the Block category (business in operation for less than three years) is Snack Attack Specialty Sandwiches & Brews.
The winners, along with all area small businesses were celebrated at the 2019 Small Business of the Year Award Breakfast event on May 23, 2019 at the Drake Centre. The event attracted more than 180 people and included a keynote presentation from father-son duo Dennis and Mat Dinsmore with Wilbur’s Total Beverage and Wyatt’s Wet Goods.
“Small businesspeople make the world go ‘round. Their passion to serve customers everyday means we have access to services and products we need. The 2019 Small Business Finalists:

Winner of the small business category, Technical Framework, was founded in 2010 with a mission to provide the highest quality information technology services in Northern Colorado. Their goal is to serve as a resource first, and a consultancy second. They provide both holistic and fractional services depending on needs and budget. Their passion to help companies advance by leveraging technology is the root of their motto, “Tech Forward.”
Taking the honor for the medium business category is All Star Cleaning Services. Founded in 2006, this business has grown to provide all-natural home cleaning services to more than 750 homes in Northern Colorado with its staff of 40 professionally trained house cleaners. They attribute their success to a strong focus on client feedback and staff development.
Large business category winner, Charco Broiler Restaurant, opened in the fall of 1957 as a simple coffee shop and burger joint. Lee Stark, Gib and his wife Lynn McGarvey worked to make the business a success. They are proud to be family owned and operated for three generations. Today the second and third generation McGarveys are carrying on the business, along with the help of some very good life-long employees. Their commitment to serve quality food with exceptional service at affordable prices has remained unchanged.
The New Kid on the Block Award winner, Snack Attack Specialty Sandwiches & Brews, is a local and veteran owned, small business created by the husband and wife team of Shawn and Lauren
Storeby. Founded in 2017, this specialty sandwich bar set out to create a fresh dining experience offering quality food, great local craft beer and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere accessible for all ages.
More than 70 nominations were received, and 10 finalists selected. Businesses were judged on community involvement and stewardship, commitment to good business practices, overall business growth, innovation, workplace culture and employee relations. To receive an award the business must be a member of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce at the time the award is presented.
