Better Business Bureau and CSU Partner to Offer Certificate in Applied Business Ethics

Registration is open for this unique ethics program for professionals on how to improve the bottom line without crossing the line offered through the Better Business Bureau and the Center Professional Development and Business Research in the College of Business at CSU.

Participants will earn the Certificate in Applied Business Ethics in three sessions on Feb. 12, Feb. 26, and March 4. The workshops will dive into understanding values, how they influence ethical choices, and how ethical decision-making changes in the larger context of an organizational environment. Course work includes discussions on ethics in action, individual ethical choices, and the impact on the organization. Videos will be used in all sessions as examples and engagement tools for group processing of materials.

The Feb. 12 and 26 sessions are from 8:00 a.m. to Noon in the Global Leadership Council Room in Rockwell Hall West, College of Business at Colorado State University. The March 4 session is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will be held in the Longs Peak Room in the Lory Student Center.

The primary facilitator for this program is Jim LoPresti, Ph.D., founder of CohereUs Consulting. Guest speakers for this program include Pamela King, president/CEO of BBB Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming, Mike Pierce, risk consultant with Flood and Peterson, and Carrie Rossman, director of the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust.

Cost is $750 for all sessions and includes all class materials, parking passes, continental breakfasts, and lunch for the March 4 session. Registration for this program includes the BBB Trust! Assessment at no additional cost, a $100-$700 value. Discounts are available for BBB Accredited Businesses and companies that send three or more employees.
