| The Office of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Denver and Saint Joseph Parish have appointed Donna Bornhoft as the next principal of Saint Joseph Catholic School. Bornhoft is replacing Nick Blanco, who is stepping down after six years as principal at Saint Joseph.
“Mrs. Bornhoft has a wonderful background in Catholic education,” said Rev. Simon Kalonga, pastor of Saint Joseph Parish. “Mrs. Bornhoft is a collaborative leader, and she is well known in our Archdiocese and the Catholic community of Northern Colorado.” Mrs. Bornhoft began her teaching career at Saint Joseph Catholic School in 1991 where she taught 2nd grade for nine years. She then taught 2nd grade at Saint Mary Catholic School in Greeley for 11 years before being promoted to principal. She was at the helm of Saint Mary for seven years. Mrs. Bornhoft holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Regis University. “I’m excited to return to the Saint Joseph community,” Mrs. Bornhoft said. “This school has always been special to me. I’m looking forward to getting to know the school community once again as we all work in unison to evangelize and form faith-filled disciples of Christ.” Saint Joseph Catholic School is one of 37 private Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools.
