New Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center a Winner

Recently I was part of a group that toured the Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center, which is under construction on the northwest corner of North College and Cherry St.  And it’s a winner.

Annette Geiselman, executive director of the current Discovery Science Center, served as our tour guide.  She couldn’t be more enthusiastic and proud of the new facility.  It’s a joint public-private project.  Funding came from passage of Issue 2B – also known as “Building on Basics” – and donations from the community.  The Chamber supported and actively campaigned for the passage of ‘BOB’.

For the community, two cultural organizations are being combined into a great new facility that will become a tourist attraction for the area when it opens next year.
