(Fort Collins, CO—Friday, June 8, 2016) In celebration of their 25th birthday, New Belgium Brewing Company is teaming up with Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar for an Anniversary Beer Dinner & Salmon Bake on Wednesday, June 15th at New Belgium’s new outdoor beer garden. Rare and limited release beers from New Belgium’s secret stash will accompany an assortment of summer dishes from Chef Ricky Myers, including sustainably-caught Pacific Northwest Salmon that he will roast over an open flame. Jax General Manager Rick Compton and Chef Myers built special fire pits for the occasion using recycled scrap metal and New Belgium half-barrel kegs.
“New Belgium is such a classic, iconic Colorado brewery,” says Compton, “and we are honored to help them celebrate their 25th birthday. It is going to be a ton of fun.”
Not only will each course be paired with a hard-to-get-but-easy-to-enjoy New Belgium beer, but several dishes will also feature classic summer NB brews as a key ingredient. The beets in the salad course are braised with Snapshot Wheat and the fresh-shucked oysters are garnished with a Citradelic IPA mignonette.
Tickets to the dinner are $85 per person and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com. There are only 100 seats available and it is expected to sell out.
All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit The House That Beer Built, a nonprofit partnership between local breweries and Habitat for Humanity that helps build houses for Larimer County families.
