Midtown Arts Center Appoints New Managing Director

Ft. Collins, CO – Jalyn Courtenay Webb has been named the new Managing Director at Fort Collins’ largest cultural events center. Webb will be working alongside owner and operator, Kurt Terrio and her role will include education, sales and marketing and artistic management. Webb holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado and has been a favorite performer and vocal coach throughout Colorado for over 20 years. “Her vast on-stage experience and credibility in the eyes of performers, combined with her 25 years of professional business experience in marketing, sales, coaching and training make her the perfect fit for this major role at Midtown,” says Kurt Terrio, owner of Midtown Arts Center since 2003. Terrio implemented this new role to take the Cultural Arts Center to the next level. “It takes everything I’ve ever done well and roles them in to one amazing opportunity to make something special happen in Northern Colorado,” adds Webb of her key role in a booming cultural arts scene in the Front Range. Webb will be expected to manage and direct performers, box office and wait staff, while increasing group sales, event bookings, and community outreach.

Jalyn Courtenay Webb has spent the past 25 years balancing a full schedule in her professional career with non-stop theatrical performing, teaching, directing and consulting. She is a rare breed that lives both in and among the theater world, while maintaining a full-time career life. Webb most recently spent 8 years as a Sales Consultant for Vera Bradley where she managed retailers in 6 states. Prior to that, she spent 6 years as District Manager for Brighton Collectibles, managing 8 stores across the country. Local theater-goers will recognize her from her most recent roles: True West Best nominated-performance of Madame Thenardier in Midtown’s production of Les Miserables in 2013, or as Bloody Mary in South Pacific (also nominated for a Henry Award), Mrs. Lovett in the inaugural performance of Sweeney Todd in Studio 2, and Mama in the highly acclaimed production of Memphis. Her time on stage has been spent at Midtown Arts Center, Union Colony Dinner Theater, Little Theater of the Rockies, Greeley Stampede Troupe, Greeley Philharmonic and Starkey Theatrix.
