The Northern Colorado Talent 2.0 Coalition launched a major new talent portal last week called Work in Northern Colorado (www.WorkInNorthernColorado.com).

Members of the coalition include the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, Loveland Chamber of Commerce, City of Loveland Economic Development Department, City of Fort Collins Economic Health Department, Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development Department, One NoCo Economic Development, and United Way of Larimer County.

The website covers the two-county Larimer and Weld region, so in addition to coalition members listed above, it received input from the Greeley Chamber, Upstate Colorado Economic Development, and the City of Greeley Department of Economic Health and Housing.

Job posting and job search is at the core of the site. While there is a significant amount of quality of life information here, the key information that new, current and prospective residents want is about jobs and area employers. Consequently, this is featured prominently on the front page of the site.

One of the most important aspects of the job posting function is its simplicity. When a company posts positions on Indeed.com, they automatically post to WorkInNorthernColorado.com.

Over the next couple of months we’ll be in tweak-mode as we clean up typos and other content of function issues with the site. If you see issues or have questions let us know.

The next major step will be to develop and implement a marketing campaign to promote the site.

Funding for the new talent portal and the subsequent marketing campaign came from investors in Northern Colorado Prospers, the Chamber’s 5-year key strategic initiative campaign.
