November 7, 2015 is National Learn to Homebrew Day and FCB is excited to invite all homebrewers and friends to the brewery to check out FCB’s very own homebrew system, Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
All homebrewers in attendance will receive a recipe of FCB’s current seasonal, Double Chocolate Stout and are encouraged to brew their own flavored batch to bring to Beer Talks from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15. Participants will receive direct feedback from FCB’s brew team, along with prizes for the top overall beers.
FCB’s brew team will be on hand Saturday to demo the Double Chocolate Stout recipe on their homebrew system, answer questions and share tips!
American Homebrewers Association members with a valid AHA card will receive double the discounts on Learn to Homebrew Day at FCB Modern Tavern for $4 off a pint.
“Most of us started off homebrewing so this day is a pretty cool opportunity to share conversation with those who have the same passion as us,” said Thomas Barnett, FCB’s Operations Manager.
At 8.1% ABV, Double Chocolate Stout is full of roast and chocolate flavors that abound as subtle hop bitterness evens out the sweetness of a rich malt profile in our most decadent brew yet. This blushing black beer is complimented by a thick tawny head and lively chocolate nose.
