The Good Samaritan Society – Fort Collins Village, a senior retirement community that also provides post-acute rehabilitation care and therapy services announces its purchase of Larimer County’s first and only Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill. NASA-inspired technology allows users to exercise in a pain-free and fall-proof environment by “unweighting them” to 20% of their body weight.

This unique piece of therapy equipment can benefit numerous people, including: those recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery or cardiac incidents; people with illnesses that affect lower-body strength, stability and mobility; those seeking to lose weight; and athletes striving to improve stamina and form.

The Alter G Treadmill will be made available to those in the greater Fort Collins community on a per-visit use fee or through the billing of accepted insurance.  The general public is invited to observe live demonstrations of the machine on Saturday, February 21, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., and medical and healthcare professionals are invited to get acquainted with the benefits of the Alter G on Wednesday, February 25, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Both Open Houses are free and no RSVP is required. Please use east entrance to the Weiss Therapy Center.
